Terms of Use
Who we are
The Cozy Bit is independently operated and based in Alberta, Canada. For the purposes of this Terms of Use, “The Cozy Bit”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the individual operating The Cozy Bit.
You can reach us at thecozybit@outlook.com.
It’s a beta
The Cozy Bit is still being built. Things may change, break or disappear, and the app may sometimes be unavailable. We’re grateful for your patience and your feedback.
Who can join, and for how long
- The beta is invite-only and for adults aged 18 and over.
- Your access lasts 60 days from the day you accept your invite, unless we extend it.
- We may pause, change or end your access, or end the beta, at any time.
- Keep your password private. Your account is just for you.
Your pages and backups
Your planner is saved only on your own device. We don’t keep a copy, so we can’t recover it if it’s lost, for example if you clear your browser’s data, switch devices or lose your device. Please use Backup & restore regularly. Keeping backups is your responsibility.
Your content
What you add to your planner belongs to you. Only add photos, videos and other material that you own or have permission to use. You’re responsible for your content. Don’t use The Cozy Bit for anything illegal or harmful.
Feedback
When you send feedback, you let us use it freely to improve The Cozy Bit and our other products, without paying you or naming you. We handle the personal details in feedback as described in our Privacy Policy.
Please keep the beta to yourself
Unreleased features are confidential. Please don’t publish screenshots or reviews of the beta, or share your invite, without asking us first.
Our app and name
The Cozy Bit app, its design and illustrations, and the name and logo of The Cozy Bit belong to the individual operating The Cozy Bit. Don’t copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app. Open-source parts are listed on our Credits page and are covered by their own licences.
No warranty, and limits on liability
The beta is free and provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty. To the fullest extent the law allows, The Cozy Bit isn’t liable for lost data or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the beta. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Alberta.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the beta changes. We’ll update the date at the top and let testers know about important changes. Questions? Email thecozybit@outlook.com.
